What with being stuck at home, we’re having to find new ways to date and get to know people.
If you’ve never tried it before, text chat can be a great way to get to know guys, and now you’ve got all this spare time, what else are you going to do?!
Here are our top tips on texting guys and getting that conversation started.
Don’t leave it ages between messages.
We’re not saying you need to reply as soon as you receive the message, you don’t want to seem overly keen! But just reply as and when you have a moment to sit and read what you’ve received.
Try and keep on top of your spelling and grammar.
You might not thing it’s important, but they might. If you’re really paying attention to what they’re saying and putting effort into your replies, they’ll know, and it’ll get you in their good books!
You can still flirt!
Even though the conversation is written down rather than face to face, you can still be cheeky and flirty. This is a good time to be using emojis so they know what your intentions are!
Text them first.
When you get up in the morning, maybe whilst you’re having your cuppa or eating your toast, send them a quick message to say you hope they have a nice day. It means a lot and will open up the communication channel for the day.
Don’t ghost them.
Vanishing off the face of the earth is one of the worst things you can do! Apart from being upsetting, it lacks respect for the other person. If you’re not feeling it and don’t want to take things further then do the right thing and tell them. (You don’t need to be rude, though!).
